It was the 23rd day of April, 1968, when the foundation stone of this Vidyalaya was laid by Dr. H. M. Patel, I.C.S. (Retd.). Popularly known as a “Central School” in those days, the Vidyalaya was established under the Project Schools of Institutions of Higher Learning with the objective of providing quality education to the children of employees of Sardar Patel University. Since its inception, Kendriya Vidyalaya Vallabh Vidyanagar has steadily evolved into an institution committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. What began with the vision of facilitating quality education for the children of university employees has, over the decades, grown into a well-established co-educational institution serving the educational needs of the wider community.
The Vidyalaya’s journey of more than five decades reflects its commitment to the ideals of quality education, discipline, values and overall development. Through the dedicated efforts of successive Principals, teachers, staff, students and the support of the community, KV Vallabh Vidyanagar has established a distinct identity among the educational institutions of Anand district. Today, the Vidyalaya continues to carry forward its rich legacy while embracing contemporary educational practices, technology and emerging learning needs, remaining committed to nurturing responsible, confident and capable citizens.
